Vision

The vision of the Karawitan Arts Study Program is that in 2026 it will become a center of excellence in the field of creation, study, presentation and development of musical arts based on local wisdom values ​​and be able to compete globally.

This vision contains a very strategic meaning to be developed in the digital era, Merdeka Learning Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) in order to produce graduates who are reliable, professional, with character and able to compete globally.

Center of excellence means that the Karawitan Arts Study Program is a center for the creation, study, presentation and development of superior musical arts. The indicator is that the Karawitan Arts Study Program is capable of producing excellent graduates as creators, studies, presenters and fosters musical arts, arts entrepreneurs/interpreters and becomes a center for cultural arts information services (karawitan) in the context of advancing culture.

Based on local wisdom means utilizing local wisdom in the form of knowledge and cultural expressions as a basis for learning. Local wisdom, which requires noble values, is believed to be able to guide students to become art graduates with Indonesian characteristics.

Having a global perspective means that the process of learning and developing knowledge in the Karawitan Arts Study Program adheres to a globally acceptable paradigm.

This vision is in accordance with the main task of ISI Denpasar as an institution for preserving and developing local and national arts and culture as an important national identity. Conservation efforts include reconstruction, coaching and revitalization activities. Meanwhile, development contains elements of creativity to create new karawitan works that are developed from local wisdom and in accordance with the times.
